Deanna is a Deputy Director at MAXIMUS, Inc, a firm providing health and human services consulting and program management services to the public sector. Deanna’s passion to serve the homeless began in 2001 while working with homeless mothers and their children in Michigan. She also assisted homeless and incarcerated veterans in Los Angeles, including interviewing veterans living on skid row and managing a study with the White House Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives. Deanna attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate studies. She later earned Master of Social Work and Master of Public Administration degrees at the University of Southern California.
Deanna and her husband, Tyson Culver, enjoy spending time with their son, Gavin, while traveling, hiking, and volunteering. Deanna serves on the Greenlights 501 Council and was previously on the Board of Directors of Executive Women in Texas Government and the Michigan State University Alumni Association. “Access to housing and health care are essential building blocks for a healthy lifestyle.
