Lori Neyland, Director of Human Resources

Growing up in the military lifestyle gave me my love for exploring new places, trying new things, and learning about people’s lives and stories.  As learning, helping others, human rights, and equality have been a lifelong passion of mine, this led me to a career in human resources.  Throughout my HR career I’ve focused on enhancing, evolving and modernizing workplace culture.  Creating and driving change management strategies into organizations that connect with their mission and values. And coaching/consulting people through change, employee relations, career and leadership development, and compliance.  I obtained a B.S degree in mathematics with a minor in biology and emphasis in education from Texas State University.  I maintain my SHRM-CP and PHR certifications, and received a professional coaching accreditation through iPEC coaching training program and the International Coach Federation (ICF). Although I moved around a lot, when I was around 8 years old, I visited Austin/San Marcos and instantly knew this is where I belonged in life.  So I consider Austin my hometown as I’ve been here over 20 years now.  When I’m not working I enjoy being adventurous, helping others in the community, and experiencing life with my family, friends, and my dog, Wally.  We do a variety of things like hiking, spending time on the water, traveling, going to concerts and festivals, volunteering, and binge watching Netflix.
