In the December edition of the Front Steps newsletter, we turn our spotlight on Dennis Cox, one of our dedicated Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager, whose personal journey of recovery fuels his passion for helping others navigate the challenging path to stability.
Dennis Cox’s story is one of resilience, transformation, and a deep commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those facing the harsh realities of addiction and homelessness. Dennis exemplifies a commitment that goes beyond the call of duty. His willingness to go above and beyond his job description is a testament to his dedication to ensuring that every individual he serves receives the personalized assistance they need to rebuild their lives.
Having been a part of the Front Steps family for three years, Dennis’s journey has been marked by personal and professional growth. In addition to his work as a Case Manager, he is currently pursuing a licensed chemical dependency counseling program. This educational pursuit reflects his aspiration to expand his impact on the community, especially in addressing the devastating effects of drug and alcohol dependency.
Dennis’s decision to enter the field of addiction counseling is deeply rooted in his own history of being on the brink of losing everything. With the support of close friends and his community, he made the courageous choice to embark on the challenging journey of recovery. His personal experiences provide him with a unique ability to meet clients where they are, creating a safe space for open dialogue and fostering an environment of trust.
