Volunteer With Front Steps

When you partner with Front Steps, you join a community of like-minded souls who believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home. We rely on the compassion, kindness, and skills of our selfless volunteers who help promote the well-being of our clients.

 

Whether donating welcome home kits, organizing events, working with our admin team, or assisting other staff, you are part of the solution in aiding those experiencing homelessness within our community. We value every person, group, and company that donates their time and skills to Front Steps.

We are always happy to invite volunteers for our many events throughout the year. Regardless of your skill level, there is always a place for you here as a volunteer. In addition, we will keep your information in our databases and send out periodical updates on volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for considering donating your time and skills to Front Steps. Before volunteering, those interested must complete the application below.

Once submitted, your application will be carefully reviewed. Depending on your choice of service and skillsets, Front Steps will contact you regarding any opportunities that will best serve our clients and organization where needed. We can’t thank you enough for taking the time to help those in need.

Administrative Volunteer

Provide clerical support to the Front Steps admin staff members. Duties include answering phones, light office work, and assisting with projects as needed.

Flexible hours Monday – Friday, anytime between 9am – 5pm

Organize a Food or Donation Drive

Gather necessary food, hygiene, or household items for our clients. We use these items for direct outreach for our clients who are still on the streets or give these items to our clients who have been newly housed.

Special Event Day Volunteer

Get ready to party with a purpose! Event Day Volunteers assist on the day of the event and help with set-up, greeting attendees, answering questions, crowd flow management and/or tearing down tables and tents.

Direct Client Support

Provide support to our clients as they transition from homelessness to being housed. You can provide support delivering their groceries, helping them with applications, and more!
