From July 22-25, 2024, Front Steps was proudly represented at the Southern Grants Forum in Fort Worth by Sheila Joseph, Antonio Harmon, Kelley Cloughly, Thomas Hutchings, Veronica Sierra, and Andrew Sherman. This forum, an annual event, offers valuable educational opportunities and facilitates the exchange of ideas about grants management among entities across the Southeast, Midsouth, and Southwest.
The Southern Grants Forum gathers participants from a broad geographic region, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. It serves a diverse array of grant-funded organizations, regardless of program, funding source, or entity type—ranging from nonprofits and government agencies to institutions of higher education, hospitals, and tribal entities.
Sheila, Antonio, Kelley, Thomas, Veronica, and Andrew engaged in workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions, gaining insights into best practices in grants management and innovative strategies for maximizing grant impact. Their participation underscores Front Steps’ commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in managing the resources that support our mission. 
The Southern Grants Forum is sponsored by the accounting firm of Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC, and the grant-funded and tax-exempt organizations practice of Tipton KPCL. Their support ensures that organizations like Front Steps can stay at the forefront of effective grants management, enhancing our ability to serve those experiencing homelessness in our community.
