Available Committees;

Programs Committee

The Programs Committee is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of Front Steps’ programs. This includes ensuring that our services meet the needs of the community, aligning with our mission to end homelessness. The committee reviews program outcomes, provides recommendations for improvement, and supports staff in maintaining high-quality service delivery. Members collaborate closely with program directors and engage in strategic planning to enhance and expand our initiatives.

Financial Committee

The Financial Committee manages Front Steps’ financial health and sustainability. This committee oversees budgeting, financial planning, and reporting to ensure transparency and accountability. Members review financial statements, monitor cash flow, and work with auditors to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices. The committee also advises on fundraising strategies and financial policies to support the organization’s long-term goals.

Events Committee

The Events Committee is tasked with planning and executing fundraising and awareness events for Front Steps. This includes organizing annual galas, community outreach activities, and special events that engage donors, volunteers, and the public. The committee works on event logistics, sponsorship opportunities, and promotional strategies to maximize attendance and fundraising outcomes. Members collaborate with staff and other committees to ensure successful and impactful events.

Volunteer Committee

The Volunteer Committee focuses on recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers to support Front Steps’ mission. This committee develops volunteer programs, coordinates volunteer activities, and recognizes volunteer contributions. Governance Committee

Legal Team

The Legal Team provides legal oversight and support for Front Steps. This committee ensures that the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations, advises on legal matters, and mitigates risks. Members review contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure they are legally sound and aligned with our mission. The committee also provides guidance on issues such as employment law, intellectual property, and nonprofit governance, working closely with other committees and staff to address legal challenges and opportunities.
